The Galaxy Note 2 users have been anxiously waiting to receive the Lollipop update on their devices and much conflicting information about whether it will receive the update or not has created a lot of confusion.
Moreover people over at Samsung have till now not come up with any strong statement that applies to all the markets and settles this confusion. However the UK arm of Samsung has taken the initiative and according to them users in the UK will not be receiving the update.
The Samsung UK in responding to a query on Twitter revealed that the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 will not be receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in country at least.
@WesoLabeshnai We don’t like to give out bad news Rohan but the Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 won’t be receiving the Lollipop update.

However there was no reason provided for this but at least the UK users know that in order to receive a Lollipop update they need to change their devices. Moreover this doesn’t mean that the Galaxy Note 2 will not receive the update in other countries as this applies only to the UK.
